Realizations Learned from Solo Travelling
Solo travelling or travelling in general is dangerous. But
it depends to the traveler if he or she wants to believe that. Some may
experience bad things and some may love their trip. As for me, I enjoyed
exploring the countries I went and had learned a lot of values and thoughts. And I’ve never encountered any danger during
the duration of my trip. You can never say this country, or that country, is
dangerous and not safe for female solo travelers unless you yourself
experience going to these country and experiencing it alone. Travelling is one
way of knowing things yourself and discovering the art of the world without
using the internet. You should never let Internet satisfy you. Yes, some will
be definitely true but not everybody are the same. Our thoughts and opinions
will differ from each other and by that, you should have your own too, through
actual experience, by far would be the best.
Every country has its story and just by walking down the streets or
eating at some local restaurants will enlighten you some bits of its
magnificent beauty. And you should never allow the people telling you that
travelling is dangerous because you do you.
Not everyone and everything will be on your side. Respect is
an essential must bring when you’re travelling. What you know may be something
they know differently and what you do not know may be something they know. Be
aware that there is a big possibility that how they do things will be different
from how you should based on your own knowledge. Once you arrived in that
country and got your passport stamped, open your heart and let it accept things
as you go with the flow of your trip. Understand one another and let each other
teach new things. It is one way of making friends and making awesome memories.
The beauty of the world is endless. From where I was born
and raised, Philippines, there was already full of so many things to offer. And
I’m very lucky to be in another country and explore more of the world. May it be a hundred years old temple or a
newly constructed shopping mall, it is an art created with effort and love. The
nature around you is abundant and the tall buildings towering you are product
of development. Therefore, appreciate it. Be it small, or big. Be it glistening
or creaking, these are all blessings from above.
Travelling will allow you to know more about yourself. You
will able to discover so many things about you that you never thought of. Be it
simple things like realizing you love Thai dishes or a particular dish you
didn’t thought you will. Or being surprised as how much Korean you can speak as
you talk to locals and being able to understand them, these things are
significant details in your life that you came to realized because of
travelling.
Stepping out of your
comfort zone will enable you to do things in a different way that will give you
additional knowledge and experience. Letting yourself free of hesitations and
second thoughts are always a sigh of relief. And you will be happier. And that
is something you should be proud of.
